Product Description

Author and veteran search marketing expert, Mark Brimm, and AdWords management guru, Stephen Moss, put together the original AdWords learning series 101, 202, and 301. Now these 3 seminal books have been brought together into one compact, easy-to-reference master guide with revised table of contents and the same great original and highly readable content (but at a savings of almost one third when you buy them together in this edition).

AdWords University: The Complete Guide to AdWords is a complete AdWords course spanning the Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels of AdWords campaign creation, management and refinement--everything you need to quickly develop a lasting foundation in AdWords. This course was designed to take anyone from zero knowledge about AdWords and turn them into an advanced-level user with minimum pain and without resorting to confusing (and often temporary) "secrets" which in fact often can actually hurt your campaign and longterm ROI, due to their temporary nature. This series steers around such short-sighted temporary strategies and focuses on how AdWords actually can be used to achieve high ROI in the longterm, putting it in the more solid Reference category of books on AdWords and thus making it a more lasting contribution to your Kindle collection. Specially priced, this compilation of the 3-part "AdWords University" series contains three clear-eyed, level-focused books in one: AdWords 101, AdWords 201 and AdWords 301.

See why experienced long-time AdWords campaign managers are now calling this book the serious choice for learning how to run an AdWords campaign in a safe and thus truly profitable manner, completely gimmick-free, and thus worry-free.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Beginners and Advanced Users, August 15, 2009
This review is from: AdWords University: The Complete Guide to AdWords (Kindle Edition)
I've spent thousands on AdWords the last few years. I've gotten a decent return on that spending, because I've made more in profits than my AdWords spending cost me, but I've always wondered if I was doing as well as I could. I skimmed the sample pages from AdWords University on an impulse and am really glad I did. It got me hooked. The full book is just fantastic.

I was initially tempted to skip the basic information in the first few chapters but that would have been a real mistake. I ended up learning great ways to write better ads, especially by focusing on the customer instead of my business. I also learned how to compare my ads to competitors and figure out how to make mine both stand out more and lead to higher conversion rates. (Because conversion rate is what it's all about.)

But the advanced info is where the book really shines. I learned how to easily do things I'd always wanted to do: Create (and more importantly) keep track of multiple campaigns, manage my keywords better, quickly come up with a great list of long tail keywords (which is now where some of my best conversion rates come from), analyze my results using easy to understand analytics (because I used to get so bogged down in the detail I became paralyzed by all the numbers), and last but not least come up with an overall marketing plan that works a lot better and makes more sense than what I had been doing for the last couple years. And I thought I had been doing pretty well...

The surprising part is that is that the authors show you that doing all this is actually really easy once you learn how to get the priorities straight. You'll spend less time on AdWords, probably spend less money (although I've actually started to spend more since my ROI is much higher), and show better results. And if you're new to AdWords getting the complete course is really great because you'll learn just about everything you need to know from keyword research to improving ROI... and that means that when you're done will probably know more than 99% of your competitors.

5.0 out of 5 stars An AdWords Guide Anyone Can Understand, October 23, 2009
By Executech (Mystic, CT) - See all my reviews

First of all, let me say that I'm no AdWords expert. This is the first AdWords book I've seen that really made sense to me and didn't assume I was already a power-user of AdWords. I found that I could go from zero knowledge to intermediate level in just a short amount of time. I will be following this book religiously to attempt to master AdWords campaigns. I'm taking my time with it because I am so busy, but I can already see how far I have come with it in my spare time this far and that is really exciting. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has no pre-existing knowledge of AdWords campaigns.

5.0 out of 5 stars AdWords University graduate, October 5, 2009
By Anne Violette (Delray Beach, Florida) - See all my reviews
This review is from: AdWords University: The Complete Guide to AdWords (Kindle Edition)
Learning the magic recipe for a successful Google AdWords campaign is a bit like trying to decipher a secret language. I've even taken a workshop in the past with Howie Jacobson, author of Google AdWords for Dummies. Although I learned a few things at the workshop, I decided to give AdWords University by Stephen Moss and Mark Brimm a try to see if anyone else had better ideas that were less elementary and more tangible.

The AdWords University not only exceeded my expectations; I applied many of the groundbreaking techniques to my own business's AdWords campaign and discovered how to write great ads, how to stick to my adwords budget without wasting time, how to test my results by running multiple AdWords campaigns, and many more tricks that were totally unique.

I'm no math whiz, but I do know that numbers don't lie and I've been getting a lot more traffic on my site. These two authors obviously know their stuff and have been doing this awhile, because they apply knowledge from hands-on experience in an engaging manner. AdWords University is intelligent, yet simple enough for AdWords novices. Those who are familiar with other AdWords books will appreciate the consistent use of specific examples and screenshots to get the point across unlike some of the books out there. I liked the witty analogies and section about running multi-site campaigns, plus they have broken down the challenging task of reading those Google graphs in a simple enough way that kept me interested.

Most eBooks I've purchased in the past are just small pamphlets, but this book is meaty enough to be an AdWords novel. Maybe the authors will consider turning it into a printed book one day so that I can bring it to the beach and turn my time otherwise spent basking in the sun into a real business write-off.
