5.0 out of 5 stars A Great CD
I, like alot of people, first heard THC on Buffy. I looked for this CD for a long time and I couldn't find it anywhere. I can't beleive how much people are selling it for, it's outrageous. I e-mailed George Sarah and he sold me a copy for $15, it was a burnt copy but I would rather pay him a few dollars for a burnt copy than pay someone else a unreasonable ammount. I...

3.0 out of 5 stars Veruca aside, a good album...
Well, as much as I wish that that were-skank Veruca had never dirtied my TV screen, "her" band's appearance on Buffy did make an impression that didn't involve retching. THC is talented, and while not my favorite ever, "Adagio" is a good album. "Need to Destroy," in particular, is a great track. Props to Buffy's music department for...

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great CD, October 18, 2004
This review is from: Adagio (Audio CD)
I, like alot of people, first heard THC on Buffy. I looked for this CD for a long time and I couldn't find it anywhere. I can't beleive how much people are selling it for, it's outrageous. I e-mailed George Sarah and he sold me a copy for $15, it was a burnt copy but I would rather pay him a few dollars for a burnt copy than pay someone else a unreasonable ammount. I love all the songs on this CD but alot of people only buy it b/c of the songs Dip, Overfire, and Need to Destroy. The other songs, with the exception of Girlflesh and Unsaid Warning are alot different than those songs, they don't have vocals and they are trippy techno so they're not really what you would expect after hearing the songs that Sarah Folkman sings on. If you like George Sarah's Ossia and Opus Eleven then you will also like the other songs on this CD. If you want to get a copy from George you can e-mail him at georgesarah@earthlink.net. I hope this will be helpful and maybe save you some money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gorgeous and lush, one of my all-time favorites!, May 29, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Adagio (Audio CD)
I, like so many others, first heard T.H.C. on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and am beyond happy I did so. The vocals on this album are just so beautiful...absolutely gorgeous and sensual, and the music is outstanding. This music isn't just for the young...I'm 36 and enjoy it and my husband grudgingly admits (after about the 10th replay in the car CD player) that this is indeed excellent.

This is an excellent album. Its a pity you can't get it off of Amazon.com or anywhere else for that matter. I first discovered this album watching an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. After 6 months of searching, I finally came across George Sarah's web site ... Its got a delightful Trip Hop like feel and Sarah Folkman has a wonderfully sexy voice.

This CD is pretty good. Reminiscent of Portishead. Also the song Overfire is featured in a Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode. Hmmm...Buffy...

I ordered this cd from George Sarah and I absolutely love it. His music is unique and a delight for all ears. It's a shame that it is hard to come by. If you get a chance, I highly recommend ordering it. You won't be disappointed!

5.0 out of 5 stars The most sexy CD I own..., August 6, 2001

... which is a fairly frightening declaration I admit, but nonetheless, this CD is beautiful, moody, dark, and occasionally spooky. The sound of the CD can be compared to a melding of trip-hop, electronica, dance music, and trance. If you like Portishead, Gus Gus, or Poe I would recommend this CD. I bought this CD in the Christmas season of 2000, and it is still in steady rotation on my CD player.

Incidentally, I first heard of this band on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, much like the other reviewers below. Also of note, the actor who plays Giles on Buffy, Anthony Steward Head, is planning a collaborative album with George Sarah, the mastermind behind T.H.C. I can hardly wait to see what they accomplish...

OMG! Like eveyone else I first found out about THC from BtVS..I hate the episode cuz its SO sad but even that couldn't turn me away from the music..."Dip", "Unsaid Warning", "Need To Destroy", and "Overfire" are awesome tracks..I have basically the whole CD on my computer because I can't find the songs anywhere else.."Blue Wave" is kinda long, lyric-less and very techno(y) (I usually like metal so this is a change) ...

This is one of the best albums I ever heard. I first heard the music on the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer and fell in love with the music. This album is worth getting no matter what kind of music you love.

4.0 out of 5 stars Once you're in, you're in, August 12, 2001
This review is from: Adagio (Audio CD)
I admit it - the first time I heard this CD, I paused a little. In other words, it takes some getting used to the first time you hear it...but after that, it's perfect for when you're feeling dark or broken, or need to express your anger through music!
