I have enjoyed the first 4 seasons and wait with great anticipation for season 5 to hit the market.
The stories are taken from real life cases in L.A. If you like Dragnet you will feel the same about this show. Not only was it a great series but the quality of the first 4 seasons of Adam 12 have been outstanding, no reason to think otherwise with this next season. And to top it off it comes in at a very attractive and affordable price at less then $25.00...Great deal, great show and great quality, hard to top that.

Thank you Shout Factory for continuing to release the Adam-12 franchise! The show just keeps getting better by the season and volume 5 is no exception. Buy it with no regrets.

By the way, Jack Webb had a knack for advertising new projects. I'm quite certain that one of your favorite episodes will be the one where Reed and Malloy end up taking a young boy to Rampart General Hospital where you will meet the main cast of Emergency! (Julie, Robert, Bobby, Kevin, and Randy!) It's truly a Jack Webb "overload." - Brilliant!

Dragnet 1968: Season Two

Very good series espicially to have on DVD. I rate Adam-12 on a scale of 1-10 in terms of best police shows as a 10. I am a Criminal Justice major and this is the most realistic show I have ever seen out there apart from the real thing. Very good if you like police dramas with action and adventure. I own all the seasons. and also like Emergency wich is also very good. I would recomend this as a must have in your collection.

See how it is really done. Worth the effort.
In addition I am counting all the Volkswagons in LA.

Like DRAGNET, this is also another Fabulous, Excellent Series, I love it. I encourage anyone that's into Crime Shows to purchase this title.

This was the season that Emergency was born from, great episodes of Malloy and Reed at work.

Okay, self-admitted major Adam-12 nut here. I liked it when it was new, and I think high production values and realistic representation of the LAPD have left us with a show that's aged so well that I don't anything since has ever come close (other Jack Webb productions excluded, of course). There's just enough of a human element to make the the characters real yet no so much that it sidetracks the fast-paced action. It's hard to believe how much ground these shows cover in a single episode, literally and figuratively.

My only beef, and reason I had to give this a 4 instead of a 5 is because the first of the four DVDs is saddled with a promo for three really sad 1980s shows that is one of the longest and most annoying I've ever seen on any TV show or movie I've ever purchased. It just goes on and on and on. It's more of an infomercial than a commercial or promo really. So when you pop in disk one, you'll have plenty of time to go make a sandwich, take a shower, or check your email before you can start watching the shows. Thankfully this only applies the first DVD in the set.

Adam-12 still running strong after the first 4 seasons. It was even used as training for procedures by some departments. Jack Webb's attention to detail shows again as it had in "Dragnet" and later on in "Emergency!"

My Husband is so happy with this and he plans to buy the wrest of the seasons as well .
