Adam and Andy are great,
By "docpete05" (Atlanta, GA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Adam & Andy (Paperback)
I bought this book to share with my partner and the two of us have read it several times together. Each time we find something new to laugh at or to think about and we are astounded at how much the trials and tribulations faced by the main characters are also the trials and tribulations we face in our own lives. A great comic book about a great gay couple!

Warm and Cuddly ...comic,
By Jonathan Pex (Hampshire, UK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Adam & Andy (Paperback)
My partner gave me this book for Valentine's Day, and I was so happy to receive a gift that shows a nice, centered ... couple going about their daily lives while clearly in love with each other. In my experience, Adam and Andy are what ... men at home and work are really like. Should be required reading for all those rabid folks who think that ... marriage is a bad thing.

Two Men One Bed Do the Math,
By "moresun" (New England) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Adam & Andy (Paperback)
James Asal has done what no other Comic Artist working today has done. He delightfully exposes the intimate workings of a committed partnership between two men. The two thirty something guys live a regular life in the small town of Woodfield,CT complete with a hunky yard guy and saucy diner waitresses. Definitely NOT the Connecticut Martha would like you to believe exists. In a style that is true to the genre of Newspaper comics, Mr. Asal pulls us in to a world of small joys, the daily life of two people in Love. That's the key,. This book, a collection of strips from the first four years of the popular on-line comic, should find its way on to everybody's Holiday gift list. It reveals, in a beautifully sweet way, how similar we all are, anyone who has ever been in love or wants to be, will find something to smile about when they meet these two guys.

The only flaw I find in this volume is that it is too thin.As for the rest we have an artist with a personal, essential drawing style depicting with humour the very "normal" life of a very "normal" long term gay couple. Adam and Andy are just adorable, funny, fun loving, witty and honest. Mr Asal has created two full rounded characters and manages a very wry humour out of everyday situations. There is no explicit sex. This volume can be safely read by teenagers too.

James Asal has become my favorite artist after Jeff Jacklin and George Perez. His artwork is simply awesome. Adam And Andy are delightful characters that seem so realstic. I really love those guys. Baxter the doggie is so cute. I agree with everyone who recommends this classic book. It is one of those special series that only comes along so often.

I really highly recommend that you buy this book. Adam and Andy by James Asal is my favorite comic strip. The website is www.adamandandy.com and this book has the very early strips. I really admire the talents of Mr. Asal. God I am envious of the man's cool artistic talent. As I said I highly recommend this book. You will read and reread it many times. LOTS OF LUCK.

a breath of fresh air in comics,
By O'Shea (Boston, Mass.) - See all my reviews

I was ntroduced to the Adam and Andy strip by a good friend of mine. I thank her for doing this too. Adam and Andy used to be a project that Mr. Asal did just for his good friends. Then with the wonders of internet Adam And Andy became a gift for the world. I love this collection of classic strips. Adam and Andy is an innocent comic. So many of today's comics are violent and exploitive of women. Adam and Andy is good fun about a cool gay couple. More please.

James Asal is my favorite artist and gay comic writer. He is so talented. He does the weekly adam and andy strip and the zuma's diner strip. I love this collection of the early days of the strip. James is a sweet man who writes sweet comics. He does not respond very well to e-mails because he is really busy but he loves to hear from fans. I love the doggy Baxter too. Mrs. B is a neighbor from hades. But I like the old bag.

I don't care for superhero comics very much anymore. My favorite comics include HOTHEAD PAISAN HOMICIDAL LESBIAN TERRORIST, CHELSEA BOYS, KYLE'S BED AND BREAKFAST, HEARTS AND IRON and CAVALCADE OF BOYS. But my absolute favorite comic is James Asal's amazing ADAM AND ANDY. It is the warm, sweet and addicting comic strip chronicles of a long term gay couple. Buy it and you will love it too.

Adam And Andy sexy and cool,
By Magnus the viking (usa) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Adam & Andy (Paperback)
James Asal puts alot of love into his Adam and Andy work. He clearly cares about his readers and the characters. His art is crisp and beaming with talent. The main characters are really hot, sexy men. Andy sort of reminds me of a playgirl model from February 1996 named ZOLTAN. I recommend this volume very much. And this summer James Asal will be releasing the first ever Adam and Andy comic book. I can't wait.
