My husband received two guitar stands for Christmas--this one (from me) and another from his mother. Even though the one from his mother came in a prettier box bought from a store--he liked mine much more! Yay. The reason he liked the one I bought better is because it secures the guitar at the top--its much less likely to fall if bumped into or what not.
The guitar stand his mother got him only holds the guitar at the base of the guitar--not providing as much support.
I recommend this guitar stand. If not this one though--make sure you get a guitar stand that also holds the guitar around the neck of the guitar.
Great stand for a really good price.

At less than $15, this stand is a BARGAIN. It is light weight yet secure and durable. Well padded too. What more could you ask for in a guitar stand?

This was an excellent purchase for our son. Saved a lot of time by not having to go shopping and it was easy to assemble.

For the low cost, this is a good guitar stand. It's very easy to assemble,
took about one minute. It's sturdy and its design makes it tip-resistant.
Best thing is that it has a support for the guitar's neck which keeps it
from sliding sideways if bumped. Looks nice and protects guitar.
Very pleased with this purchase.

Sorry to go against the chorus of praise, but I'm only partially satisfied with this guitar stand.

Firstly, it's designed to be quickly collapsible. That may be great for someone in a band that's constantly on the go, but if you just want something to stand your guitar in the living room it leaves a bit to be desired. The cradle comes out with a quarter turn and there's no way to lock it in, and if my guitar strap loops around it I'll pull it right out. It's also very light weight and easy to knock over, and the legs fold in too easily. The guitar neck is secured with a cheap looking plastic bar that doesn't look like it will last too long.

The $13 price tag may seem like a good value, which is largely the reason I ordered it, but the day after I placed my order with Amazon I went to a local Guitar Center where they had stack of heavier duty chrome plated stands for $10. I really wish I had waited that extra day.

Great product, minimal packaging (just the way I like it). Slips together easy. Has a nice wide cradle in the bottom to hold your guitar, and lock in rubber strap for the neck so you can carry things on/off stage. Can't beat the price and a good quality product as well.

This guitar stand works really well! It took me a while to put it together cuz of no instructions(that could be cuz Im blonde haha lol)! I highly recommend it!!
