Full of surprises!,
This review is from: And Adam Knew Eve: A Dictionary of Sex in the Bible (Hardcover)
This very interesting book is the work of Ronald L. Ecker, and is a respectful, and yet thorough look at sex in the Bible. Just what does the text mean when it says that Ruth uncovered Boaz's feet and laid down at his feet? What does the Bible say about breasts? When Noah became mad at Ham, why did he curse Canaan? Well, read this book and find out.
This is an interesting book, just full of surprises! It is respectful of the text, but at the same time, it delves into the subjects that so many preachers gloss over or euphemize. I don't think that there is really anything in this book that will offend anyone. The book is frank but avoids editorializing or adding anything. So, if you want a real surprise, a book that will add a whole new dimension to your Bible study, then get this book. Find out something that you never would have learned in Sunday School. Woo hoo! (Review of And Adam Knew Eve: A Dictionary of Sex in the Bible)
