In 1995, this life-changing experience blossomed into Plack’s nomination for an ARIA (Australian Grammy), for his Aboriginal inspired CD entitled “Nomad”, and in 2001 Plack won the ASCAP RnB song of the year award with his tribal Australian-fusion song entitled “With You,” which reached #2 on the Billboard charts in the USA. In 1991, Plack moved to New York and founded Australian Music International, which later led to co-founding Rasa Music, a label dedicated to culturally-diverse contemporary music projects. He then began working on several albums in partnership with Deepak Chopra, such as the highly acclaimed poetry CD “A Gift of Love”, featuring Madonna, Demi Moore and Anjelica Houston. In 2001, Plack composed the score for the film “Perfume,” directed by Emmy-nominated director Michael Rymer. The music score was later released as an operatic RnB album, entitled “CoCo De Mer”. Having written, composed and produced over ten albums, and scored several TV and film projects, such as “Revolution” for Sci-fi/CBS, the feature film “Undertow” with Philip Glass and contributing to the “Charlie’s Angels” film score, Adam Plack is currently launching his first Los Angeles-based record label, Play it By Ear Music. Their first release, due in February 2011, is entitled “The Secret of Healing”, which re-unites Plack with Deepak Chopra, and is the first in a series of meditation CDs. Ever passionate for his art, he continues to produce albums and score film and television projects. He resides in Los Angeles.
