5.0 out of 5 stars child victim awareness, August 7, 2001
By A Customer
When little Adam Walsh was stolen from a Sears store and beheaded during a hot July afternoon in 1981, few people knew how serious child abduction was. They probably heard of Steven Stayner and Etan Patz beforehand but the most heartwrenching before Polly Klaas came Adam. The movie was important in the 1980s to promote child awareness and what to do in kidnap cases. John Walsh changed the whole perspective on missing childrens bills and law enforcement's support. "Adam" was one of the first TV movies and the most popular one to date. It was the first TV movie to have a toll-free number and to flash missing children's pictures at the end to help find them. I recommend any parent to rent the movie, even though alot has changed since back then when "Adam" came out. Watch it for the Adam Walshes out there and keep your children safe.

5.0 out of 5 stars extremely touching true story, July 2, 2003
By A Customer
On July 27 1981 Adam Walsh disappeared from a sears in Hollywood Florida. His head was found 120 miles away 2 weeks later. The saddest child abduction ever in my opinion. I reccomend it to people who like feeling sad. Pray for Adam. It should never have gone out of print! Extremely rare in any condition.

5.0 out of 5 stars A complete tearjerker!, February 16, 2009
It was so heartbreaking to watch how much these parents fought to find Adam only to be devastated to learn that he was murdered. This is a must-see for everyone who has children or who doesn't have children. I wish this movie would come out on DVD. Also, the movie "ADAM: his song continues" I happened to see it on LMN. We all must never forget Adam and what he represents. His tragic death probably has saved many children from his fate.
