The current edition represents a detailed, comprehensive review of the development, cause, diagnosis, and treatment of lameness in horses. The content in the 5th Edition is excellent, but some images throughout the text do not meet the high-quality standards LWW seeks to maintain. Over the next few months LWW will be reprinting the 5th edition with images that meet our quality standards and better represent our level of excellence. Faculty members, students and practitioners should continue to use the current edition of the text, but if you find the images to be unsatisfactory and wish to return your text for the reprint, LWW will accept returns of the existing edition in exchange for the reprinted edition (ISBN: 0-7817-4195-5) with the better quality images (available June 1, 2002).
