All I can say is this stuff works, plain and simple... Last year I rescued a dog from the pound and took along some stowaways with him :) My other dog has been on Frontline forever and I promptly dosed my new arrival too. But, within a few days of coming home, The fleas eggs not addressed by the shelter dip, started hatching. Since I know that Frontline takes up to three weeks to spread throughout the dogs hair folicles, I wasn't going to take any chances. Now as we all know, fleas are tricky little devils and since I wasn't taking any chance of this spreading to my other dog and home, I might have went a little overboard... I used this on both dogs, I also used the Adams spray on their beds, my couch and anywhere else they like to lay around. Even though I didn't see any fleas after that, I still repeated the process 2 weeks later (life cycle of flea) and have been flea free ever since. I still keep some on hand, just in case as there are lots of loose cats in my neighborhood and I firmly believe the key is to nip it in the bud.

I use Frontline Plus on all my dogs but this summer they started scratching two weeks after an application of Frontline so I bathe them with this. It really works.
