I know that everyone has different needs when it comes to what you record for business expenses. For me, I simply needed something that i could record business mileage in. My problem is that I often just forget, or I am in too much of a hurry to write anything down. I even tried using a GPS mileage app on my iPhone, but that too proved not to work because it was too cumbersome. This is simple and I use it! It fits in my middle console perfectly and the cover is just sturdy enough to take a little abuse. Inside, there is just the right amount of room to record beginning and ending odometer, date, and a description for the trip. Then on the right hand side there is a space for the total miles making it easy to do later if you forget. The bottom of each page provides a space to total up the miles for then entire page. The beginning of the book has a place to record and calculate the necessary things for your annual percent of overall miles driven for business and the back has pockets to store service records. It is really designed to be good for one calendar year before needing to be replaced. But depending on the miles driven you could use it longer.

This is exactly what I needed and was looking for. Easy to use, just the right size and I love all the different areas of vehicle criteria I can easily keep track of.

This "log" is very small and very cheaply made. The space allocated to describe the purpose of your travel is way too small. I can't believe that this documentation would be adequate for an IRS audit. I sent mine back and just use an 8 x 11 notebook where I have all the space I need. Don't waste your money on this item.
