J. Rose Plaxen is a parent of a developmentally disabled daughter. She has been an active advocate for children with disabilities, designed and implemented a Parent-to parent referral Network for Community LINC, served on the Interagency Coordinating Council for the Maryland Infant and Toddler Program, and a sought after public speaker. Plaxen regularly participates in community/school events and volunteered with Special Olympics.

This book is a wonderful way to start to get the brain juices flowing and use some of the ideas in the book and come up with a lot of new ones yourself. Definitely worth the price.

Adapt My World is great! The concept of the book makes it easy to read, easy to put the adaptations together and they work, too. Throughout the book I've been saying to myself - "why didn't I think of that!"
