I have used this car power adapter many times and it works extremely well. I have not had a problem with it and it charges my Kindle while I read. Wonderful.

This car charger has a built in fan to handle it's own heat source. Which is a happy thing, when you think about it, but the fan is LOUD! It will definitely add to the ambient noise in your vehicle - I have a Prius, so it's already quiet and this fan stands out.

On the plus side, you can use anything with a power cord with this charger. Last year the power went out during a snow storm and my guy wanted to grind coffee - I sent him outside with the car keys and the coffee grinder, and voila! ground coffee!

I had a kindle for a longh time and had to charge it through my computer all the time. Now I can totAlly charge it in the car whenever I'm driving around. My daughter uses it in the car and can leave with it when she goes to school, fully CHARGED!!! It's like the Jetsons!
