We have three entry level Toshiba laptops and overall they are great machines for the money. One burned up an AC adapter under warranty. When we needed another when out of warranty, we were shocked to learn Toshiba wanted $89 for just the AC adapter!!! Thankfully, we checked Amazon and found this adapter. We were shocked when it arrived and it was an actual Toshiba product!!! Oddly, the unit direct from toshiba didn't include the power cord. This unit comes with an even more heavy duty cord than the OEM. It has worked flawlessly and I think I paid about $10 for the unit shipped!!!

Received 72W-LT01 Notebok adapter which is not the item pictured with the listing. As stated by the previous reviewer, the power cable is much, much shorter than the original. It also has a 3-prong plug not a 2-prong as pictured which meant I could not use it with my existing extension cable.

I'm a little disappointed that the product does not match the listed item but as it seems to be working ok with my laptop and I don't want the hassle of returning it I'm going to hang on to it and just buy a different extension cable.

Received a LITEON 72W-LT01 from Eleven Adar. Didn't expect to receive a Toshiba OEM for the price. Looks to be about the same build quality as the original. Cord is a little shorter, but about the same gauge. Works so far on my Toshiba A205 and P205 laptops. Gets warm to the touch, but not excessively so.

The LITEON 72W-LT01 needed to be replaced after about a year. The cord must have a break in it near the plug that goes into the computer. It works, but needs a lot of wiggling to get it to charge. Too annoying. Ordered another. Received a PA-1750-11 from BetterStuff LowerPrice. Absolute junk. Wires are short and very thin. It died after a day and a half. Probably not worth the effort of dealing with a return, so I plan to cut the cord off it and splice it onto the old one.

Basically it is a crap shoot with these. You might get a good one or junk depending on who you buy it from.

What can I say? It works, it charges, and it's identical to the Toshiba replacement, at the fraction of the cost. It doesn't seem to heat up excessively. The cord seems to me as higher build quality, but much shorter. I bought two, just in case I needed another replacement, as I was expecting failure. I've been using it for a few months, and it works just fine, don't even think I needed to buy that second one.

Works great and I didn't have any problems with charging the battery. Would recommend to anyone..

We purchased 2 chargers and had them for a few weeks. We started to smell something burning. We realized that it was both chargers. They were very hot and smelled. We returned them and it seems as though they won't be paying for the shipping to return them. I would not purchase this product. They are cheaper than others on the market, but you will probably experience a fire!

I made the mistake of purchasing a Toshiba Satellite. The laptop itself is not bad but the battery life is horrid! In 18 months I have gone through 3 batteries and the one I have now, only has a life of 20 mins. Therefore I must rely solely on my charger. I am now on charger #3 since the last 2 (including this one that I purchased 2 months ago) have died on me. This one actually melted.

This charger goes to just about anything with an ac adapter. When I opened it up I was not expecting to see so many different attachments for the charger, it can change to fit 8 different sizes. It was exactly what I was looking for for my Toshiba laptop, and for only around $20 this charger was perfect.

My original power supply burned out in the first six months. I went to best buy to get a replacement and the Toshiba power supply through them was over one hundred fifty dollars. I found a thirdy party power supply that worked with many different laptops. That was one hundred and ten dollars. I thought it was a savings. That power supply burned out in less than three months. I ,by chance did a google search for the oem power supply and found one on Amazon. It was only thirty nine dollars. My only reservation was it would not be new or it would be another third party cheap part. I was oem and it was new. It came in two days. Incredible.

This adapter works perfect. NO need to buy a higher priced adapter for your laptop.
