5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality
This adapter will take your US plug, even the ones with one prong wider than the other, and convert it to a European plug.
One thing to note, this adapter is not a voltage converter; it will not convert European 220V to US 110V, unlike what one reviewer said.
Shouldn't be a problem at if your power supplies support a range of 100-240V like most mobile devices...

2.0 out of 5 stars False advertisement, i.e. "Continental Europe"
The product allegedly works all over Continental Europe, with a long list of qualifying countries, including Austria, given in the description. But when I took this adapter plug to Europe, it did not fit the outlet designs at my hotels in Salzburg or Vienna. It also failed in Prague--I'll let that slide, however, since the Czech Republic wasn't specifically advertised...

I'm from the US and live in Europe. I buy a lot of dual-voltage products when I visit home, so I use a lot of adapter plugs. If you simply need a two prong adapter, you will be satisfied with this one. The quality is much better than others that I have purchased over the years. I just bought a couple of these to try. I'll be buying more in the future.

The adaptor worked great in my trip to Germany. Worked with plug that had one prong slightly larger than the other.

I used the adapter to recharge camera and cell phone batteries and it worked very well. Since most charges can handle both US and European power systems, no converter is needed - just the adapter.

1.0 out of 5 stars watchout with the rounded edges!, October 7, 2008
This review is from: Adapter Plug - Europe - Universal Polarized Wide Input Round Pins - Heavy Duty 16 Amp Rating (Electronics)
I bought a dozen of these to use in a house that I am renting in Spain. The rounded edges on this adapter cause the plug to NOT FIT INTO ANY of the wall outlets or sockets or extension cords . When you are able to jam them into a socket they tend to get loose quickly. It's also an ugly brown color that looks bad in most white and off white sockets. I ended up throwing them all away. Very dissapointed.

Great product if your electronics have a range of different voltages. I was able to charge my camera, phone and electric razor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fits perfectly., August 4, 2007

Excellent adapter: fits both double-pronged and grounded American plugs perfectly. I have tried other adapters in which the US plugs are too loose and tend to fall out; this is certainly not a problem with Going In Style's products. My only qualm is the price, which seems a bit high for a simple electricity router, but overall it's a great investment in an overseas trip. Fast service.

This little adapter worked great for our trip to Italy. We just hate that it's hard to find and buy these things separately and not have to get a whole combo pack out in retail stores. We were able to used this plug in Thailand as well!

3.0 out of 5 stars Round, 3-prong adapters are better., July 10, 2010

Instead of these, I recommend round grounded adapters for US 3-prong as well as 2-prong plugs. Why? Because they have a better, more snug fit on both sides. They fit more snuggly in the Euro/Schuko socket. These flat 2-prong adapters in my experience tend to have a looser connection or even fall out of the socket - esp. if yours is a heavy cable or if it has one of those AD/DC converters at the plug end pulling down on the adapter.

On the other hand, flat 2-prong adapters are slightly more compact and fit better in your pocket. So if you want to get one, I recommend you at least find one that is rubberized or has ridges or a lip to make it easier to pull out of the socket. (The cheap ones made of hard slippery plastic are the worse). And make sure you don't overpay. There are dozens of merchants selling these; make sure you don't pay more than $2/pc including shipping.

Lastly, keep in mind, the schuko socket fits most European countries but not all - most notably UK, and Italy which have their own peculiar sockets.
