This product only worked for 3 days then I had to wiggle the cord to get it to work then it stopped working and I had to purchase another one from HP. I will never purchase from this vendor again!

Don't buy this. We're lucky that we didn't have a fire. Everything fit and worked as expected for a few weeks, and then we started hearing popping and buzzing noises, and the power supply failed.

A post-mortem showed that the solder had melted on the circuit board near the AC power point. I tried bending the lead to resume contact, and this held for a few days, but it melted the board again. (Note: Don't open the brick if you don't know what you're doing: there is a shock hazard)

The brick does not show a UL listing (no surprise). Although several off-brand products have worked well, this is an area where you should go for a more reputable product.

We purchased this item as a replacement for a HP pavillion dv6000 notebook computer, but this would have happened to any laptop. We left the computer on the desk the whole time, so movement/jostling was not a cause.

This power supply works very well for my laptop. It even has a little light so I can see that it is plugged in properly with a quick glance.

I have had some crazy issues with my laptop, causing me to repeatedly need to purchase a new AC adaptor. This one worked like a charm every time! The laptop itself I believe was this issue...so if you're having a similar problem, I'd recommend having someone look at it. I thought it was the AC Adaptor forever, but realized it was an internal issue. But all of the AC adaptors I ordered from Amazon in the meantime were wonderful. :)

I bought this product from an affiliate of Amazon through their link. Shipping was fast and the product arrived in fine shape in only a couple of days. However, this item only worked for a couple of weeks before it started to fail. I could get it to work by wiggling it sometimes but it finally failed within a month of when I bought it. I thought it was my computer but I tried using another power supply and it works fine. I guess you get what you pay for as this price was much less than the replacement I purchased.
