I have vonage and and this router. The router is color coded in the back to allow easy set up. It has two phone ports, the 1st line is for your first line of service and the 2nd line is if you wanted to add another line ie fax machine or business line. That is the only draw back from this design. But I just bought a cordless phone system that allows multiple phones to be connected to one base. It has an ethernet port for incoming and another one for outgoing so it can be routed to your computer.

I love the vonage service it has so many features. However I don't think you would want to buy this product when vonage now selling these for free when you sign up. If anyone is interested in having 2 Months Free plus the vonage router for free just send me a message though amazon and I can send you information on how to utilize the Friends and Family special they have going on. Once you are a member you can in return utilize the Friends and Family special by getting and giving 2 months of service free.

I ordered this after my Vonage provided modem died. Bought this one and it worked fine for a while, then stopped working. It was probably a matter of months. Dissapointed. I dont know if I just got a bad one, but it left a bad taste in my mouth with vonage in general. In my cancellation call, I told them I had been through 2 modems now, and they mailed me one for free. It has been working fine for 6 months now.

BTW, I keep all my electronics on UPS so it did not get smokeed by lightning or a surge.

I had a Linksys Vonage wireless router that died after about two years. I have been using the Motorola for about six months now with no problems. I just hope it lasts.

I would recommend this device if you are having trouble with your existing vonage device or if you consider buy your own device. This is a great device. I am highly satisfied. I haven't found any issues with it. My previous device from vonage was sometime noisy and often had problem with connection. This one is much better.

Purchased this new product to replace original Vonage device. When connected I was told by Vonage it was used and carries an unpaid balance. Vendor denied this and offered to refund my money. Mailed unit back but still have not received a refund. Still waiting.
