I put this needle up against KnitPicks and it won! Its join is almost non-exsistant. The point is perfect for homespun yards, which is what I use. The cable is fantastic, no memory at all. Its sof and supple and the yarn has no drag at all.The needles are light and well balanced.
The price of Addis are a little to high but if you can afford them, they are the best choice.
Knitpicks isnt a looser at all. They are real close to Addi. You can feel the join more but it doesn't inhibit the yard at all. The cables are a little stiffer with just a tiny bit of memory. Knitpicks doesn't offer a sharper point like Addi does with the lace turbos. So if you prefer sharper points, Addi is it.
If you want the smoothest, best supple cable, and the most comfortable needle with a nice sharper point, Addi is it.

If your just learning to knit, go with Addi or Knitpicks needles. Its hard enough to learn when your fingers are not used to what your doing. You dont need the added frustration of needles that your yarn gets hung up on because of bad joins like with Boyles and other cheaper needles, or yarn that wont glide and hands that become fatigued from bad balanced needles.

I am learning on Addis and its making the process a lot nicer and pleasurable.

I have other circulars in the same size that have miscellaneous quirks (the joins, the tips, the cord etc) but these are just a very good classic go to circular that I've used from several different projects and I really like them. so far, I have no issues with them so I will probably continue to use them. One tip is that when I'm not using them I do not tightly curl them or put them back in the original packaging - this avoids the curling issue with most cords. I'll do a gentle loop and then use a twist tie to hold them - this is work has worked well for me, for many years.

There's a lot of different needle-makers out there. Different needles work better on different yarns and the tip should be chosen with your particular project in mind. But you can not go wrong with Addi's. These Lace Turbos are sharply pointed for digging into cables, bobbles, and lace stitches without splitting your yarn. Best of all, the surface is so slick that your stitches glide along without needing any tugs, making them extremely fast to work with. I'm a very fast knitter but, with Addi's, I can reach speeds that cause others to stop knitting just to watch. They are also durable -- I've been knitting with Addi's for 30 years and, after trying all the others, always come back to these. It's hard to improve on perfection!

I love these needles because the cord is nice and flexible and the points are just pointed enough. I am a "tight knitter" and use these needles in regular knitting, not for lace. The cord is not to long and can be easily managed even when I am not doing a circular knitting project. I started out with the least expensive needles. Compared with the Addi, I was not knitting but was battling the 'stiff with a mind of its own' cable.
