Looks, nice, does what it's supposed to do...,

I'm happy with the Milano cooler I bought off Amazon (the free shipping was especially nice)! The cooler is attractive, yet a couple things I'll comment on: I thought when I bought it that it would have a hot water dispenser as well...Also, the picture looks like the silver parts on the cooler are metal, but in fact they are stickers...All in all, though, the cooler does look nice and does it's job just fine.

I have read the other reviews, and frankly I was surprised at the negative comments. I have been using my cooler now for a few months and have had no problems. It looks really, really cool (pun definitely intended). I bought the black. The water in the cold tap is VERY cold (and this in the year-long heat of the Caribbean sun). The water in the cool tap is cool - just as advertised. It takes up surprisingly little space.
I feel sorry for those who may have gotten a defective machine, but mine is working just fine. Add to all this the convenience of not having all those bottles in the fridge - I DEFINITELY recommend. One last thing ... you don't get a bottle with it though I think the presentation gives you that impression. That bottle shown is apparently to show the customer the non-drip valve cover (which works very well by the way). December 2002: I wanted to add one more thing ... if the water begins to freeze in your compartment (mine did for some inexplicable reason nine months into use), the thermostat that the extremely brief instructions talk about is that screw that you see on the INSIDE of the grid. It is a little hard to get at, but once you do, it does what it's supposed to do. I STILL love this cooler after 15 months. April 2006: Still works fine. Not one regret yet.

Best system best price!,

I don't miss the trips to the store for water. Tthe bottles took up to much room and they were heavy. Now I have it delivered at the cost I would pay at the store. We can drink refreshing cold water at our convenience. It's really great when you have company. They can help them selves without going through the icebox. The style will be a great match for every kitchen. I have a child so I was concerned about the water dripping however the drip tray is easy to empty. The splash system makes it so easy for even me to put new water bottles in without the worry of spilling. No matter how small of a drinking glass or how large of a water bottle I want to fill, they all fit great! The matching bottle cover makes a real clean look. No one has to ever see the water bottle. I love it so much I want to buy my mom one for a gift. No kitchen should be without one. I checked around for weeks for a good deal and this was the best system and the best price I found. When the system was delivered I took it out of the box and had it up and running in a matter of min.

I purchased this item from Amazon in 2002 and to this day am very pleased. Unlike other customers, ours was not defective. The reason I bought this model was that it is the only one I've found that has a covered top so we don't have to look at the actual water bottle (with huge advertisement for the spring water company on it). I did discover that the top cover does not fit on the discount priced spring water bottles that I could buy at my popular warehouse chain; the only brand the warehouse store sells comes in a rectangle shaped bottle. In order to use the Addico Milano's top cover we had to get home delivery of a different brand of spring water. We love this cooler and have no complaints. The only problem that our guests have is that they dislike the colors of the handles, black is for cold water and white is for room temperature. It seems most people prefer blue to indicate cold and red to indicate room temperature (or hot). Oh, well. It was not hard for my own family to learn which is which! I believe Amazon has a great bargain with this cooler, especially due to the free shipping. Note that this comes in two colors: white and black.

How cool is this thing!,

I saw this originally at the Housewares show in Chicago, and I had to have it. I sent my standard model Hinkley and Schmidt packing and replaced it with this baby. Love it, love it! It's beautiful, tasteful, works great and I couldn't be happier!!

I got tired of the ten dollar monthly rental fee per cooler, so I decided to buy my own. This Addico cooler is pretty slick looking, though it is definitely larger than the one it replaces. The water bottle itself is covered by a slide off hood, which makes it look even better (I hate looking at those scratched up bottles!). Now for what I don't like:1) A spring-loaded pouring mechanism has to be inserted into each bottle before mounting it (and that requires completely removing the plastic seal from the bottle, not just removing the outer foil), 2) The fact that the hood makes it impossible to know when your bottle is getting near empty (a simple clear strip down the hood would have solved that), 3) The cheap feel of the dispensing mechanism and the fact that the labels are not securely glued in place, which perhaps belies some overall inattention to Q.C. Lastly, it ain't cheap, considering it is only a hunk of plastic & a very tiny refrigerator.

I love not showing the large water bottle. The unit is shorter than ordinary ones making the spout lower to the ground. Once you get used to it, it no longer matters. Works perfectly.

I recently received my water cooler and couldn't be more pleased. Not only does it keep the water extremely cold for when thirst attacks, but it is also a great addition to my appartment at college which I try to keep with a contemporary motif. The style of it looks like i spent hundreds of dollars which is not the case. I also get compliments on it everytime I have a party or just have people over. I am reminded of the practical aspect of the cooler on the days after a night of partying when I can re-hydrate myself with very cold refreshing water.

Eagerly awaited arrival. Thought it was, from the pictures, exactly what we wanted. Unfortunately, it arrived without the bottle cover. After several inquiries, we discovered we could not get the cover and, therefore, decided to return. Frankly, we are sort of glad we were not able to get the cover. In retrospect, we believe it would be a "hulking black thing". Surely, with the top black cover, you would need a special placed to put it. As to quality, frankly, it seemed a bit flimsier and lower in quality than lower priced ones at Lowes and Home Depot, made by Whirlpool and GE. Perhaps it would have worked fine...we never plugged it in. So, maybe this is a bad rap. But, we returned it and bought a sturdier-appearing model for less money at Lowes....
