Addicted to Love by Clare Catford, April 28, 2008
This review is from: Addicted to Love: From Rehab to Heaven (Paperback)
Clare Catford writes thoughtfully and honestly about her struggle with addiction and faith in `Addicted to Love - From Rehab to Heaven'. Her journey through rehabilitation (heart wrenching at times) reveals a world where faith and recovery are not always in harmony.
She describes in her own down to earth and non pious way her spiritual doubts as she comes to grips with her problems. She also highlights the disconnect she felt at times between those in the church and those looking for help.
This book is a good read for anyone working towards their own recovery. Clare's persistent and at times difficult voyage through recovery will provide comfort and encouragement.
This book is a useful read for anyone wrestling with their faith. Her experience is genuine, insightful and thought provoking. Making sense of it all does not come easy.
This book is an interesting read for anyone examining the role of faith and spirituality in the 21st century. Clare highlights the imperfect world of religion and its struggle for relevance in our modern world with its real problems.
