"Sexual preoccupation requires an enormous amount of energy, which generally leads to some form of sexually compulsive behavior or acting out. Some sex addicts cruise shopping centers and rest rooms. Some resort to pornography and prostitutes. (Governor and President) Clinton preyed upon secretaries and receptionists and seemingly vulnerable women working in less prestigious positions than himself. And he seemed to do this without regard to reason or ethical mores."

The above definition of sexual harassment, as outlined specifically in the Paula Jones case, states as follows:

Definition of Sexual Relations:

For the purposes of this deposition, a person engages in "sexual relations" when the person knowingly engages in or causes:

1. contact with the genitalia, anus, groin, breast, inner thigh, or buttocks of any person with an intent to arouse or gratify the sexual desire of any person;
2. contact between any part of the persons body or an object and the genitals or anus of another person; or
3. contact between the genitals or anus of the person and any part of another persons body.
"Contact" means intentional touching either directly or through clothing.

The dynamics of the average woman who stays in an adulterous marriage because her husband puts a roof over her head is identical to the dynamics of Hillary Clinton, who stays in an adulterous marriage because her husband puts the WHITE HOUSE ROOF over her head. Social status may be different in the two situations, but the fear of diminishing status quo is exactly the same. With Hillary, however, her risk of losing the euphoria of power is also at stake. If she had been honest with the public from the very beginning--if the entire Clinton entourage had been honest from the very beginning-- Bill and Hillary may never have made it to Washington, or to Little Rock for that matter; and their political power fix--their one continual, 6 year long line of political cocaine-- may never have come to light.

5.0 out of 5 stars True, William J. Clinton Is A Sex Addict., October 14, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Addiction in the Whitehouse: Disgrace of the Us Presidency (Paperback)
I am a liberal democat and would normally disregard anything an admitted right winger such as Canyon Adams had to say, but honestly I must confess and admit that in this case the man is right. Sad as it seems, our president is indeed a sex addict, a fact which cannot be denied. And Canyon Adams in this book makes us see it in live living color until there is nowhere left to run, hide, or deny. I do disagree however with Adams assessment of our first lady because he takes the position that Mrs. Clinton has always been aware of her husbands' adulteries, but I believe she was lied to and fooled like the rest of us. My wife introduced me to this book and I am glad she did because it helped me see things I was unsure of involving this president. I have two things to conclude with. One, this book is one of the easiest books I have ever read because Mr. Adams guides the reader through in a direct way, and two, because of what I have learned in the book I am going to change my position this election and consider some republican candidates as well.

1.0 out of 5 stars Where's the beef!?, October 8, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Addiction in the Whitehouse: Disgrace of the Us Presidency (Paperback)
This book is pretty weak. I agree that our president is an immoral man, but this book doesn't contain any meat! ADDICTION IN THE WHITE HOUSE consistently states well-known facts, or it draws conclusions which are not really made clear and don't always seem to make sense. I'd never heard of Canyon Adams before, and his book was a poor choice of purchase on my part.

1.0 out of 5 stars poorly written and uninformative, September 24, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Addiction in the Whitehouse: Disgrace of the Us Presidency (Paperback)
Canyon Adams is not an author. He shouldn't write books and then contrive a bunch of good reviews to try and make it sell. This book misses every mark and standard for a serious expose of our president. I challenge anyone who buys this book to write their review here, and then Mr. Adams might be hard pressed to keep up writing phony reviews to keep his average star rating above one star. Actually I hope not that many people were fooled into buying this book.
