I have used this book for 3 years now in helping to tutor students who are having difficulty in Algebra 1. It has 15 Chapters of increasing difficulty, which poses a new challenge for students each day. If you wish to learn Algebra One, This is the book to use, along wth its sister book "Algebra & Trigonometry", which is even more challenging with teaching Algebra 2.

A well-written algebra book with logical sequencing of topics covered and *plenty* of examples and exercises. Also perfect for home-schoolers. One should be able to cover about 4 sections per week and get through the first 13 chapters within a school year. (The final two chapters are not truly necessary in an algebra class, imho. I.E., intro to trig & probability/stats.)

Four textbooks were shipped to a school and arrived as advertised. But one would think that with students waiting for them, and sixteen dollars for shipping, it shouldn't have to take a full month to receive them. The company does not provide tracking information on shipping, so there was no way to monitor the holdup.
