Byther Smiths 'Bringing the blues...', from the first bar brings a raw,addictive simplicity back to music, where froth and image so often dominate over real talent. On the hi-fi, on the PC, in the car, on the walkman,... I cant leave this album alone. This is the purest blues album I've ever heard, and to think I discovered Byther Smith by accident on Satellite radio. The album took two weeks to deliver, but boy was it worth the wait The stupendously addictive bass, tight production and lack of twiddling,..just astounding blues.
