Mediocre watch, horrible company,
This review is from: Adee Kaye Mens Huge XXL Military World Watch With Black Dial. (Watch)
The watch works, but its quality is questionable. The date magnifier isn't perfectly over the date, and it's off at an angle, so upon close examination, it looks ridiculous...
The case diameter isn't that wide for a russian diver standout, look at me, "Huge XXL Military" watch. The case diameter's only 47mm, and only looks decently big thanks to those huge knobs sticking out. Russian diver watches from other companies have bigger case diameters. The band's made out of cheap leather that may not even be genuine leather, and it's way too skinny width wise, way to thick thickness wise, and way too stiff. Hard to get on and off. Another negative thing about my watch in particular was that it came with a big scuff mark on the protective plastic over the dial window. It had ripped clear through the protective circular plastic thingy and scratched the actual dial window underneath. This company must have some really careless workers; it looked as though someone had like stabbed it with a knife or something. Other downsides: Cheap plastic fake wood case, no price tag with an inflated retail price saying its worth $475.00, much evidence of the watch and things that came with it being hand-built in some third-world country with no quality control. A good thing about the watch: Even though the watch is pretty light, the big metal knobs are somehow really heavy (you can tell when you unscrew them). They probably give the watch half its weight. The watch also looks really good when you wear it (as long as anyone looking at it's more than 10 feet away so they don't see the crooked dial window date magnifier). And simply looking decent isn't enough to make up for all this watch's shortcomings, so I'm sending mine back. I probably wont buy from Adee Kaye again, but rather stick to some more well known watch brands I've had much better experiences with. I was wondering why I couldn't find any reviews from this watch brand in particular. Now I know.
