I purchased one of these about 6 months ago on a closeout sale from a local Fortunoffs store. It was good at first, with the exception that there is a lot of glare from the sides because the LED's are not recessed far enough. Other than that it ran cool and provided ample light for my needs. The length of the goose neck was not a problem and it supported the head well at a variety of angles without sagging. The problem is that it lasted less than 100 hours. The LED's began failing one row of 4 at a time till now only 1 LED flickers when you turn it on, the remaining 19 are off. Just before posting this review, I sent an e-mail to Adesso to see what they can do about it. Had it not failed, I would have given it 4 stars (I deduct 1 star for the side glare problem).

This is a follow up to the review I wrote a few days ago. I just spoke to Kavita Bora, who is a customer service manager for Adesso, Inc. about my "eternity" lamp lasting less than 100 hours. Her response was that they offer no warranty on their items to the end user at all. There is no warranty registration card that comes with the item for this reason. She admitted that they often receive defective merchandise from their manufacturer in China and they only do returns to the retailers they do business with. The customers only recourse is through the retailer they purchaed the item from, the manufacturer, Adesso, Inc. will not stand behind the product at all. I cannot recommend anyone buy this product, or any other Adesso, Inc. product for this reason. I would like to lower my rating from 2 stars to 1 star, but I can't figure out how to do that.

I have to agree with the previous review. This was a great lamp for the first month that I had it. However, a single row of LEDs has begun to flicker and after reading the previous review, I am aware of what is to come. I cannot recommend this for anyone, especially for this price!

An attractive and functional lamp that I bought on sale from Levenger dot com. Within a few months, unfortunately, the LEDs began to fail one by one. Then the diffuser fell out of the fixture. In sum, a sleek design that could (and should) have been better than it is. Appears to simply be an example of surprisingly poor execution. Avoid.

If you have need of light in a focused area that won't disturb those around you, this is it. I didn't realize that limitation when I purchased it. If you need more light than that, get one of their gooseneck floorlamps - I also have that and love it.

Another unhappy user. Really like the lamp, but the rows of LED's started to flicker after a few months, and now 50% of them have stopped working and the remaining ones flicker so much that impossible to use for reading. Seller says bulbs are not covered by warranty - which may be fine for an ordinary lamp - but ridiculous for an LED lamp - as no easy way to replace them!!!

Avoid unless you want to pay $10/month for a reading light - which is what I calculated mine ended up costing me.

This light is very dim and I am not pleased with the fluorescent nature of the light itself.

Love these lamps. Have several and can never have too many. Clean, pure, white light that is all you need to eat by, or light up the room. Saves $$$$ on electricity. The last shipment that I was aware of had only one bulb, was a cream yellow glow and only 1-watt. Sent it back. Even Adesso was not aware of the change. Hope these things NEVER return. You need all the light you can get out of these things and the 2-watt 20 bulb model is the way to go. Just right for getting up out of bed at night if you can't sleep or real early in the morning when it is still dark outside. Use the dual head 20 X 2 bulb (40 bulbs) to read a newspaper. Personal, private, and so nice.

Great product which works well and is very economical in electricity costs.
The blue-white light takes some time to get used to.

I ordered this lamp on July 2nd, and I didn't get it until the 16th of July. I was willing to let the exceptionally long shipping period fly when tracking said it had been delivered, but when I went home at the end of the day and got it, the package was completely annihilated. The box literally looked like it had been dropped off the 10th story of a building- the styrofoam was smashed everywhere. The box isn't very big either, so I was surprised to find the lamp in relatively good condition. As I had waited over two weeks to receive it I didn't want to go through shipping it back and waiting for another one, so I kept it. I guess you get what you pay for when it comes to shipping time, but I still expected my package to arrive with minimal damage. I mean, this thing was barely staying together. The lamp itself is great- LEDs do not burn hot, and these particular ones cast a bright hyperwhite (bright bluish for those of you who aren't too familiar with lighting) light in spot configuration. The toggle switch might take some getting used to, and I would've liked for it to have three settings instead of just on and off; all-lit, half-lit, and off. All in all, the lamp is great, but if it qualifies for supersaver, think twice. They really sacrificed quality, while excessive time is nearly understandable.
