Cheap junk. I bought two of these lamps last January 2011. It is now January 2012 and neither of the lamps work anymore. I have switched sockets and bulbs etc. Adesso has not responded to my request for repair or replacement. It seems to me that 2 defective lamps is more than a coincidence. If, like me, you don't consider a set of table lamps an annual purchase, steer clear of purchasing these.
