1.0 out of 5 stars Macintosh Owners Beware!!, September 22, 2010

This review is from: Digital Notepad with Photoshop (Personal Computers)
After waiting for years to find a Mac compatible digital notepad that could capture text and graphics from classes, seminars, lectures, I was excited to purchase the Adesso CyberPad recently. However after failing to locate any of the provided software that would translate the .TOP files on a Mac, I wrote to the Adesso Help Line and was informed that this product only functions as a tablet for Macintosh monitors and does not have the text/graphics capture features I expected. Needless to say it has been returned. Don't make the same mistake I did.

4.0 out of 5 stars Notepad uses and limitations, September 11, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Digital Notepad with Photoshop (Personal Computers)
I am an older college student. I have found this product extremely useful. There are some features that are extremely helpful and some others that REALLY need improving. The biggest advantage is the ability to convert script to text. the program is very easy to use and sets up in no time. The folder organization is not very intuitive. After uploading the digital notepad to your computer it does not automatically erase the files on the notepad. Also the pad is extremely sensitive when writing so you have to be careful not to make scribble marks above the paper. It does very well keeping your written script readable. The only draw back is the program that translates written script to digital text. It MUST be trained to your hand writing and if you have messy handwriting like me you must train it more than once. It does pretty good and gets most of it right the first time. IT does not keep the format the same and you must reformat the spacing once it has been translated. The other extreme draw back is the inability to convert shapes with text inside. So if you do a lot of flowcharts you are in for much frustration when converting to Word document. Standard note-taking it does well. Text and free drawings not so much.

This product does work, but I would not recommend it unnless you are very tech savy or have someone who can help set it up. It does not work well with Vista, but then what does,so be prepared to work at getting your notes so that you can read on your screen.
I am sure there is better elsewhere

Cliff
