I used to have Adesso's Wintouch keyboard, and didn't want another Adesso product because it lasted only a year and a half. Then I received this Adesso Slimtouch mini keyboard as a gift. The left touchpad button started to fail after (also) a year and a half. So:

The Good Side:
- Keys: fairly soft-touch and pretty responsive for typing fast
- Portability: excellent--even in its box, it's surprisingly light and small; and it really economizes on desk space
- Touchpad Location: very good, as it's close to the keys and reachable by either hand
- Compatibility: good--no problem both for Windows XP and for Ubuntu Linux

The Bad:
- Touchpad's Upper-Right Corner: horrible: this corner of the touchpad duplicates the function of the right touchpad key (totally redundant), and it often slows my work down by activating those context-based dialog boxes when I don't want them--and there's no way to turn this annoying feature off
- Durability: it lasted the standard year and a half, no more
- Noise: the keys are a bit noisier than other keyboards I've used, but the touchpad buttons are quite loud, so it will wake someone up if they're trying to take a nap in the same room (over the months they gradually became a bit quieter)
- Numbers: the lack of a numeric keypad can really slow you down when you type a lot of numbers

Conclusion:
A good choice if you want to take it with you to use on someone's else's computer (perhaps for travel), and if you don't intend to spend a lot of time using it.

This keyboard is a piece of junk. Under normal use, the left click stopped working within a couple weeks of the day I got it.
