It started with the space key and then the letter H and the ' button stopped working.

Keyboard's natural angle is a little high but it becomes manageable; I lift my wrists and forearms up a little higher to get the right position.

I had to replace my previous Adesso ergo keyboard (I spilled coffee in it and then cat chewed through cord). I tried Logitech's wave keyboard which is slightly curved but really not a true ergonomic design and my wrists began to hurt, so I got this one which was identical to my original. It's fabulous. I love the placement of keys, but that may be just habit (some users may not like 3 x 2 layout of insert/delete/home/end/up/down, especially if you tend to hit the insert key accidentally). The one I received was not exactly the same as Amazon's picture, but the only difference is where they put the Adesso logo, everything else is the same I think.

Some caveats:
1. You can't adjust the height! I've never seen a keyboard without little adjustable feet, but this one is just one big chunk of plastic angling up at the back for a total of just over 2 inches high. This is the perfect height for my needs but watch out if you want to adjust it.
2. It has fixed keys for PC use, whereas the Logitech wave keyboard showed which keys were Option and squiggle for Mac.
3. It's heavy - I don't know why, maybe they used industrial-strength plastic. But the quality looks and feels great so it's not apparent that this was a cost saver. One nice aspect of being heavy and having good rubber pads is that it doesn't slide around your desktop like my Logitech wave does.

Overall, an excellent product and incredible value. I received it from Tech For Less within days using priority shipping.

Pros: solid construction; extra keys are standard and work as they should; works fine with Linux
Cons: keys a bit stiff, requires a bit more effort than other keyboards to press them

This is a very solid, well-constructed keyboard. It doesn't slide around while you type and it doesn't use flimsy legs to raise the back side. The Adesso ergonomic keyboard is made with the entire back side taller than the front, so no legs needed. For me the height difference is just about spot on, adding to the effectiveness of the standard split-keyboard ergonomic design.

The keys are stiff and require more pressure than a typical laptop keyboard or some other stand-alone keyboards. As it happens, I like the feeling of the keys on this keyboard but many people may not. I haven't used this keyboard long enough yet to say how much the keys will loosen up and become less stiff.

*If you don't like stiff keys, this keyboard is NOT for you.*

Reasons to like stiff keys: you will know if you pressed the key or not and you are less likely to accidentally press the key you want plus a neighboring key when your aim is a little off.

I use Linux (PCLinuxOS) and didn't need any drivers or extra software. The "multimedia" and other extra keys work just fine *after a little tuning*.

*** The rest of this review is of interest mostly to Linux users. MS Windows users can skip it without missing anything relevant to deciding whether or not to purchase this keyboard ***

I like to get as much out of my keyboards as possible so I wrote a small script to turn the left side ones into Function keys. Then in the KDE control center I assigned shortcuts to the programs I want each key to run.

I have done medical transcription for 30+ years and average 8-10 hours per day at my keyboard. I have gone through multiple designs and types of ergonomic keyboards over the years and so far this one is my favorite. Very comfortable to use, just enough "click" and a light touch. Highly recommended!

PROS
-Arrow keys and Insert/Edit/Delete/End/PageUp/PageDown keys are all in their original respective order to keyboard design! Many new ergonomic split keyboards (such as Microsoft's) have these specific keys configured differently. I've used those keyboards and it becomes frustrating with their new placement of some keys
-Lightweight
-Requires relatively good hand position to operate.

CONS
-No adjustable feet. However 90% of people like the feet on a typical keyboard extended to provide a slight incline of the keyboard itself. This keyboard is already designed with a slight tilt so feet on this keyboard would be overkill.
-Because there are no feet and the keyboard design is already tilted, there is no way to achieve a FLAT keyboard like you can with most keyboards.
-Keyboard's natural angle is a little high but it becomes manageable; I lift my wrists and forearms up a little higher to get the right position.
-Takes some getting used to
-Space bar is split rather than having one large space bar curved with the board. This is very rarely an issue and I don't often press the area in between each space bar but it was annoying at first.
-Best results if you can re-train yourself how to type using the CORRECT hand position
-This is not a loud keyboard when pressing the keys, but it's not a quiet keyboard either. Personally I love a louder keyboard. It reminds me of when PC's first starting getting mainstream; the keyboards were clanky and loud so when you type 80-90 words per minute it sounds intense, like you're a machine cranking out product! :)

TIPS
The best natural position for typing is having your pinky fingers in a straight line from your forearm down to the pinky tip.
