4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent match ball for club, HS, and training
This is an excellent non-professional match ball, suitable for club, high school, and training purposes. The outer skin is smooth, thermally bonded (seamless), and has a softer padded panel as compared to the professional UEFA grade match ball. The ball has a good feel and well balanced as advertised. 4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent match ball for club, HS, and training, March 12, 2010

This is an excellent non-professional match ball, suitable for club, high school, and training purposes. The outer skin is smooth, thermally bonded (seamless), and has a softer padded panel as compared to the professional UEFA grade match ball. The ball has a good feel and well balanced as advertised. Although the outer skin is smooth - it feels "sticky" - has a lot of friction to it making it an excellent ball for practicing dribbling and control. The feel and construction is the same or very similar to a 2008 MLS match ball.

Depite the silver color of the photo - the ball is all white with black/yellow trim.

With thermal bonding - I found you need to keep the ball well inflated at all times. I deflated a thermal bonded ball for travel and the seams cracked and broke when deflated - bad move. I inflated the ball and it works as before, but water now can get into the ball.

I gave the ball 4/5 stars because there are very small ripples in the skin - unlike the professional UEFA match ball which was perfect and remains so after a year+ of use in indoor soccer games. But for $40 at Amazon.com - this is an excellent buy.

The balloon is rapidly deteriorating. in less than three days and had lost the pattern and wrinkles on the surface, only to use inside the house (little use). only recommend it as a garnish. If I rely on this product and unofficial copies I've seen, the quality of ADIDAS has been overtaken by imitators and lowest cost.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun, playable ball, August 11, 2010
This review is from: adidas Jabulani World Cup 2010 NFHS Top Training Soccer Ball (Sports)
I love playing with this ball, though it is a bit different than most other soccer balls in this price range. It has a slightly padded panels and the surface is just a little bit sticky, which makes for exceptional handling, playability, and control. It just makes playing soccer that much more fun.

As other reviewers have mentioned, it is not as durable as other balls. The imaging on the ball started to come off after the first game. I have had it about a month and have used it in 6-7 games and have noticed some wrinkling on one of the panels. But neither of these problems bother me. I didn't buy the ball to look at; I bought it to play with and it is a great ball to play with.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good play - logo disappears, August 16, 2010

Feels good to play with but after only the first hour of play, just like the first reviewer said, the logo print started to come off. When we're paying for a World Cup look-a-like we don't want the print to disappear after the first training session. Also, the ball appears to leak air, because after a single practice session the ball needed inflating and was not flying normally.
Expect much better quality from Adidas. Our 2006 Adidas ball was in great shape and lasted a long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for home use, January 16, 2011

I bought this ball to play indoors. Since in most cases, we can't really play soccer outside due to snow, this review is entirely based on indoor fields and in most cases, single-player play.

The ball is somewhat durable at least in my case. I absolutely love the grip it has, which is perfect for dribbles. The outer surface is at the same time really smooth, which means it easily glides through the field. That just seems to be the perfect combination! It weighs just about right too. Not to heavy, but not light either. This in all, gives the perfect control over the ball.

I haven't yet used this ball to play with lots of people, so my logo and such are still as new and clear. The ball has however, been used loads of times for practice over control and speed around cones. So all-in-all, for the price, I love it.

As a beginner to the world of soccer, this ball is great! A friend and I mainly use it for practicing penalty shots. Even on a rainy, muddy day, the grip of the ball was fantastic and shots were as accurate as they could be for two amateurs!

4.0 out of 5 stars soccer game ball, September 6, 2010

This is a very nice soccer ball. It has nice touch and control. It is soft. I am a soccer coach and the kids that play for me LOVE it. The ball is super "sticky"(it will stick to your shoes) for dribbling until it is broken in. My only complaint so far is the print on the ball is wearing off after only 5 games. The price here at amazon was far better than anywhere else i shopped. I saw this same ball other stores for $150.00. This is a great value for $30.00.

I was pleasantly surprised with quality of this ball. I would recommend it to everyone. If you don't want to spend $100+ for a real match ball this is a deal for you.

The ball arrived on-time and I was able to kick it around and show it off when Spain became world champion!
