Scratch & Dent,

What a wonderful album. Too bad they don't understand vinyl records. I returned this once, due to inappropriate packaging and a damaged cover. The replacement copy was nearly identical. Buy with the understanding that it will ship in a giant box with some giant bubble wrap, and the cover may or may not have creases, dented corners, or other wear. Fine if you're not picky.

Bought this for my girlfriend who is both a fan of and knowledgeable about world music. She only knew a little about Shirley Collins but got a big kick from this disk. The music moves out from the Renn Faire crowd and the May Pole dancers to what I guess we have to call Olde Weird England. Traditional folk music of the British Folks.
