Editorial Reviews

Seattle's own Rail here releases a very special edition album entitled Adio. It is a compilation of their EMI release Rail and their Dynasty release Rail III. Adio also includes previously unrecorded tracks, as well as an extensive video collection.

The multimedia segment has three MTV videos, a live performance from the EMP grand opening in Seattle on 6/15/00 at Memorial Stadium, a collection of over 100 photos, a bootleg jukebox with a dozen tunes from Rail's earlier years, a collection of radio interviews and much more. Adio is an amazing chronicle of Rail from the 80's and 90's. This enhanced CD is the most comprehensive audio and visual collection to date.

6 of 6 people found the following review helpful By Justin G. TOP 500 REVIEWERVINE VOICE on March 23, 2006
Rail was another one of those better-than-average 80's bands that somehow fell through the cracks. They played the kind of melodic hard rock that was so popular at the time, and seemed to make all the right moves (recording with Heart vocalist Ann Wilson, touring with Van Halen), but never achieved the success they deserved.

Fortunately the Dynasty record label reissued their early albums on CD for the first time in 2001. The Adio Special Edition reissue contains the 1984 Rail EP, the 1985 album Rail III, as well as multimedia content. All songs have been digitally remastered, and sound terrific. Adio is a great melodic rock album, though not quite as epic in nature as Arrival: Special Edition.

Rail is a band worth discovering. If you're a fan of 80's rock, particularly bands like Night Ranger, Aldo Nova, White Sister, and Autograph, chances are you'll find Rail to be right up your alley.
