Bad Design,

This looks like a good design but after owning two of them for my Moluccan Cockatoo who regularly visits K-12 classrooms, they just don't hold up. The problem is how the two pieces are joined together. The screw/bolt combination is too weak. The top part starts swiveling on the base. I actually used the first stand for almost 3 years, but only by massively duct-taping it together and then covering up the base with a pretty blanket to hide the duct tape. I just bought a new one and it only held up for three uses. Every part has come apart. The welding is not sufficient where it is welded. I have emailed the online store for a refund and am looking for something that might be sturdier - a one piece stand that can't come apart.
