I am very pleased with how well this little vise works. I make silver jewelry and this was one of the few vises I have found with smooth clamp faces. I use it to draw wire, make bends and hold pieces for detail work. It is solid enough for some heavy hammering-on, and the screw is precise and smooth in operation. A very well-made tool.

It is a light duty clamp but that is 90% of the clamping that I do. And this thing will fit in a pocket of your toolbelt. Not comfortably but what the hey. I now make sawhorses a bit longer so I can throw this on whenever I want to. Expands your capabilities like growing another hand.

It's a pretty nice clamp and it does what it is supposed to do. Seems solidly built with little lash in the moving parts. Jaws are neither textured nor ground flat -- just a painted, cast finish which seems a little bit cheap. Otherwise it's a nice unit!

The Pony Light-Duty Clamp-on vise does exactly what it's supposed to do. It securely clamps material to be worked on. My first project using the clamp was sharpening a 22-inch lawn mower blade. The Pony vise clamped securely to a 2 by 8 shelf. It held the mower blade tight with no movement at all as I sharpened it with a rough file. The vise is compact but surprisingly sturdy. I tried clamping a 2 by 4 piece of wood in the vise, and it held firm as well. Obviously, this is not a tool for heavy jobs, since it is simply not that large. But for light-duty household work, it's a fine tool at a good price.

This works great for my purpose. I use it to hold wire components for making jewelry. It is small and easy to move which is great for my craft table.

I have used Pony pope clamps for many years so I wasn't surprised at the quality of this little vise. Screw and guides are nice and tight and for small projects, this is hard to beat. It is certainly worth the money and works perfectly for small projects.

Just the right size and weight for what I need. I can make jigs for it to allow using at different angles and orientations. Very pleased.

I love this little work clamp. It is perfect for little jobs and holding my work in place while I make a cut. When I'm done I can quickly pop it off the bench and go on my way with other things. My only cons are that I wish the base were slightly wider to give greater strength when not mounted to a metal work surface, and that the clamping surface not be painted (it flakes off after a couple of uses anyway). It still does the job!

Vises aren't too technical, and this one is perfect. I use it to replace graphite golf shafts and the rubber clamp protector fits and works perfect. The mouth is smooth, and I do get a little slip from it though. Also, the screw clamp isn't big enough to clamp to my work bench. Otherwise, this is a good vise.

and extremely well made. I really like the jaws they hold firm without killing the part I am making.
