Good, solid little vise for around house use. I was surprised how well made it is. Will take heavy use for its size. The jaws open wide enough for most around home jobs.

I got one of these for free when a friend was vacating a property, and bolted it onto a work bench. It's not heavy duty, but for light use it's perfectly fine. It does the job & that's about all you could ask for.

I am pleased with this solid light-duty vice and am impressed by its quality, but I was disappointed when it arrived damaged. The Amazon.com packaging arrived without damage, but the product box containing the vice had a dent that must have happened before it was put in the Amazon box. Inside the product packaging the vice had a chip off the orange enamel near the the jaws of the vice in the spot where the packaging had been dented and torn. I am not going to return the vice, because I can use it as it is and am impressed by its quality, but I do not think damaged boxes of products should be shipped without inspection to assure they have not been damaged.

This item is exactly what you think it is: a small, convenient and adjustable clamp. I found the price reasonable and the clamp seems to be durable quality; not a cheaply made item. I was satisfied.

I was excited to get this vise until I saw the box... "Made in China". I was under the impression that Jorgensen products (the owners of pony) were made in the U.S.A. like the hand screws; I was mistaken. Fool me once Pony, shame on you. There is a company out of Michigan that sells vises made in the U.S.A. the name of which escapes me at this time, but I do know the name starts with a Y. Anyway, just so you know these vises are made in China.
