I built a shed recently with a wide door to accomodate big tools. I made this door out of 2x6 tongue-and-groove decking boards, which I needed to clamp together to attach 2x4 bracing. So a pair of "Pony" clamp fixtures and a couple lengths of black pipe was just the ticket -- or almost. The decking boards needed a bit of persuasion to get all 9 planks together, and I didn't want to gouge the nice oak. Some cedar shims against the clamp pads promptly crumpled when I tightened the clamps. So I left the door until the next weekend and ordered these clamp pads. Now I have a nice shed with a sturdy, attractive door on it. And no clamp marks! Strongly recommended.

A high price to pay for just four pieces of rubber!,

There will be occasions when these clamp pads are useful, when their limited surface and rubber construction make them ideal.Yet, there will be times when they slip off, don't spread the pressure enough or just can't be found. The pony clam is a delightful clamp to use, but I'd rather just find a piece of scrap wood that is just the right size or spans two or more clamps. Save yourself the five dollars. After all it's a high price to pay for just four pieces of rubber!

These covers fit over the ends of your barclamps to protect the object being clamped from the hard steel clamping mechanism. They are not necessary but make life easy. If you dont use these pads you can substitute something else, but that can sometimes complicate the clamping process. Because these are attached to the clamps, its one less thing that you have to fight with when trying to secure your project. They are well worth the price.

I have installed these pads on all of my 3/4" pipe clamps because they work great! They are fairly inexpensive, they don't seem to wear out under normal use, and they keep the edges of clamped boards in pristine condition. I would buy these clamp pads again without reservation.

These pads work great on Rockler "Surefoot" pipe clamps as well as the Pony clamps. One less thing to worry about during glue-ups.

Purchased several sets for my extensive clamp collection, and have been very satisified. These pads are tough, and will not stick to the work. At the same time, they eliminate slippage and twisting as the clamp is being tightened. In addition, they fit the less costly Pittsburg brand pipe clamps like a glove. I have found that these clamps are every bit as good as the Jorgensen clamp for about 1/3 the price! These pads make them even better.

There is not much criteria one could comment on clamp pads. I have installed these on all my Jorgenson I-Bar clamps, and they (1) are non-marring and, (2) stay on the clamps very well. What more can one ask for?

I have several kinds of pipe clamps and these fit none of them.Make sure these will fit your clamps or they will be as useless for you as they are for me.

I bought 2 sets to use on my old no name clamps and they didn't fit but, they fit perfectly on the Bessey clamps I just bought so I will be buying several dozen more. For those who complain about the price, $2.25 per clamp is cheap insurance. It just takes one project to be damaged from clamp jaws to realize that. These pads don't stick to my work after being left for days either. *****
