One size DOES fit all!,

This review is from: CliC Adjustable Front Connect Reader, 1.50 Strength, Tortoise Frame (Health and Beauty)
Great idea. Well made product. One "little" problem. If your head is a little larger than average, the magnet will not secure the two halves together. A thick head of hair will have the same result. Most unfortunate.UPDATE: I've now discovered that the sides do telescope out to accomadate larger sizes. That's more like it. Why they don't advertise that up front is beyond me. It does seem a little obvious now (duh), but I was actually trying to stretch the plastic when the metal front section suddenly slid forward from the plastic back part. Geez. I'm going to buy more of them now. They're great. Make those 3 stars a 5 star rating!

Difficult to adjust,

I've reached the age where my arms are getting shorter when I try to read. I have several pairs of OTC reading glasses scattered throughout the house that I can never find when I need them. So this product sounded like just the thing, letting me wear my glasses around my neck without buying a chain and look trendy at the same time.Alas, it sounded like a great idea but wasn't. So far I have been unable to properly adjust the frames where they don't ride up when I wear them. If I wear them over the ears as intended, my hair weighs them down in the back, causing their refusal to rest on my nose. The only way I can get them to work is if I wear them over my ears and hair, which makes me look like a doofus. This problem would probably be solved if I got myself a really short haircut. But I don't think I'll be changing my hairstyle just so I can wear these glasses. Does Amazon sell neck chains for glasses?

Comfortable and hard to lose, these glasses are the best!,

The clic readers I recently purchased are absolutely wonderful. It beats looking for the pair I put down a minute ago and the strength is truer to form than those purchased at a store. I find it hard to understand why stores don't carry these as they would be a top selling item. We own a business and keep the glasses on at all times. It is unbelieveable how many of our customers are impressed with the idea of front secured glasses and ask where we got them. We are happy to tell them they were purchased at Amazon.com. Thanks for carrying these useful and unusual glasses.

I have found these glasses to be a very useful innovation. Even if you misplace them somewhere they are easier to find than glasses on a cord because they don't blend in with their surroundings or disappear behind a sofa cushion.Fully extended they just barely fit my somewhat largish head.( male with slightly longish hair) I can sympathise with those with long hair or huge heads - these glasses would be uncomfortable. But they suit me just fine and are the best reading glasses I've ever had. In fact, I'm getting a second pair.

Clic glasses,

I bought the Clic reading glasses for my husband, who at the time had at least 5+ pairs of 1$ store glasses scattered all over the house and cars and still could not find a pair when needed. Since he got the Clic glasses there is no "where's my glasses". He has gotten a lot of compliments on them and now he wants another pair for work. He is very pleased with them. He also said they are life savers for his eyes.... Now he wants their sunglasses..

I love my Clic adjustable front connect readers. I tried them out and liked them so much I bought two more pairs to color coordinate them with different outfits. I have not lost them once since I got them. I used to lose so many reading glasses that I took to buying tons of them and leaving them strategically around where I might need them. But, my Clic adjustables are always right there, but not like those librarian chains that bang around. The ingenious design causes them to hug your body like a piece of jewelry. They are also great conversation starters. People will say, "Oh, your glasses are broken." Then I will demonstrate how they snap together and tell them where I purchased them. I am certain I have generated several orders.

WHAT I DON'T LIKE,

GREAT CONCEPT, BUT THE BAND IS WAY TO STIFF!!!!!!!!!! YOU CAN'T CARRY THESE IN A PURSE. I LIKE THE IDEA OF THE MAGNET AND THOUGHT THEY WERE MORE PORTABLE. FIX THAT HARD BAND AND YOU'RE IN BUSINESS! I DON'T EVEN USE MINE.

Disappointment: Too small,

These glasses sound like a great idea -- easy to keep track of and likely to remain in place while you are using them while assembling furniture, changing a baby, or repairing a light fixture. The problem is that they are so small that they were completely useless to everyone in my family. The manufacturer needs to offer them in different sizes.

Brilliant Idea, Not Without Flaws,

I frequently have to look for unfamiliar locations in unfamiliar cities, which leads to the rather unnerving process of driving with one hand and reading directions from a notepad AND a map with the other. When I started having to use reading glasses for close objects about 2 years ago this process became much more complex, and the Clic Adjustables (clear frame) have virtually solved this problem single handed: they are handy around my neck when I need them, they stay connected while I'm seated behind the wheel, and they sit on the end of my nose so I can see clearly just by looking up.For other purposes I have a few complaints: unless I am seated the magnets will not stay together. I enjoy reading in bed but it is impossible for me with these glasses, If I'm on my stomach or side they come apart, if I'm on my back the backstrap is very uncomfortable against the back of my head (and they are not the most comfortable while seated, either.) Would I buy another pair? If I were going to remain in my current occupation, definately -- I'd probably buy one of each model, especially the Clic Reading Glasses - Tortoise. If I move to a less parapatetic career the answer becomes much less definate. Perhaps I would try the CliC Adjustable Front Connect Universal Sport Goggle, Standard Size, Black Frame with Blue Lens, if they cost less, stayed together better, and were more comfortable. They are certainly conversation starters, and though I did not find them attractive, I've been told that they are. They are a great idea, they just need some work.

Better than any other reading glasses!,

I was hesitant at first to order these because of some of the negative reviews but I ordered them anyway and I'm certainly glad that I did. Like most "seniors", I have reading glasses all over the house depending on what room I'm in but I then wander off with the glasses and forget to put them back in the room where they belong. These Clic glasses have stopped that and I love wearing them. No more chains and strings. I also have thick long hair to my waist and these glasses pose no problem in wearing them. I wear them under my long hair when I'm reading and have no problem adjusting anything. They are so convenient to wear with anything and it's great to be able to use them easily when I'm in the supermarket trying to read the small print or in my favorite bookstore as well as at home. No more digging in my purse or pockets. Try them...you have nothing to lose!
