Well, personally I like towers better than shelfs. Towers fit in smaller places, and dvds fit horozontally instead of virtically. But towers usually dont fit over sized dvds. This however will easily fit any oversized dvd cases, such as collecters boxes, double sized dvd boxes, dvd's with specal covers. I love displaying my specal collection boxes, and this shelf does just that.

This is probably leaning towards 4-1/2 stars because it has one minor "con" -- the spacers could work better -- but it's a very minor irritation compared to the positive points of this system. For the "pros" this system has plenty. Assembly is required but not difficult at all. A phillips-head screwdriver is all you'll need that isn't already included. The system can be configured to accommodate CDs, DVDs, and/or VHS tapes. It comes ready for six shelves - maximum (if all CD's). For DVD's & VHS you'll end up with five shelves. (Yes, you can have your cake and eat it too because it is made for MULTI-media storage.) The footprint (space the item takes up) is quite small yet stable when the shelves are filled. I've tried other DVD towers but I've always been frustrated by them when they tumble over, spilling my DVD cases all over the floor. This one is very stable in comparison. Yes, it may seem a bit costly but I already have over 100 DVDs on mine and still have one shelf left so when you calculate things out, I think it's a great deal for the capacity. Another big plus, you can put as many double-DVD cases in this as your heart desires. Titles are easy to read (two different viewing angles depending on how you put the cases on the shelf bars)and the simplistic style is easy to live with. I'm tossing out my 10 & 20 capacity towers without regret and will gladly buy another of these when my growing DVD collection needs more room.

This is a great rack to store any media. I store my books, DVD's and console games on it. It matches my silver A/V equipment and entertainment center. The quality is very good in my opinion. It holds up well and is very sturdy.

I thought that this multi-media stand was a bit pricey; however, it did have a lot to offer...sleek design, not bulky at all, holds everything (cd, video, dvd, whatever), fits in with most contemporary decor. I now have two of them!

This is one of the best Dvd storage towers. A little time consuming to put together, but still I belive it is much better than the big bulky bookshelf I use to have in my living room.

This thing is over-priced for it's size. It was fairly easy to put together, but i put storage units together for a living so that's not saying much. Your better off getting a Sauder. They last longer and hold more for there price.
