Adjustable arm Plasma/LCD TV wall mount fits Sony Bravia 26-46 inch TV models

I used this product to mount a Sony Bravia KDL-46Z4100 to a wall. The first problem I encountered was with the fasteners supplied with the mount. I first noticed some serious quality control issues with the lock nuts, where the nylon sleeves were in an advanced state of chemical decomposition. Secondly, the Sony Bravis requires 4 M6 screws no longer than 18 mm, but the mount kit included 4 M6 screws which were 30 mm long. The "instructions" said to just add washers to make them fit -- not very bright! Fortunately, I was able to get new lock nuts and properly sized connection screws at a local hardware store.

The second issue was with the so-called instructions. Fortunately, there are very few parts and assembly is fairly straightfoward. The instructions included two sheets - one for the wall mount plate and tilting mechanism, and the other for the swivel mechanism. Unfortunately, the two sheets are completely independent, somewhat contradictory, and are roughly translated into English from some other language.

The final issue is with the performance of the assembled mount. The Sony Bravia weighs only about 50 pounds and the mount is rated at more than 3 times that load, but the assembly tilted downward about 3-4 degrees under the load. Through careful measurement I determined that the flexing was occurring primarily at the pivots in the swiveling mechanism. Fortunately for me, 3-4 degrees tilt is just about the right amount for my room.

Overall, the mount is fit for purpose and appears structurally sound. It was a good value for $79, but it is not worth more than that.
