This stand will definitely not fit a stereo. It is a little annoying because it's just barely deep enough to hold a DVD player with an HDMI cable on the back. However, I disagree with a previous reviewer who said that nothing fits - I have a normal DVD player, a large cable box/DVR combo and there's plenty of room for a game console.

Also, it's really nice for the price - definitely much better looking than anything I saw in stores for a comparable price. And it's very sturdy.

I bought it even though the only other reviewer hates it - glad I did.

We bought this bundled with our new TV, with some trepidation based on some of the customer ratings. HOWEVER - we find it PERFECT for the TV - it's sleek, substantial and easy to put together. Our DVD player and cable box fit very well on one shelf with plenty of room to spare - highly recommend buying the two together.

This stand is not deep enough to fit standard A/V componenets. DVD player? Forget it. Stereo? NO way. My cable box doesn't even fit in it. If you're planning on using it to store anything larger than a game console, get something else. I might as well have burned the money I spent on it.

It's a rip-off how much they are charging for those TV stands, considering a decent 46" DLP TV cost $1100 and less. This simple DIY stand is average, at most, in terms of look and quality, and the so-called wire management is just a piece of plastic and double-side sticker. I wouldn't recommend it if you have time to search for other choices.

The key here is ajustable. Although ill designed for TV components, the Samsung TV stand for 42" or 46" TVs can be altered to fit 17"-18" deep components with wires. I moved the back panel behind the steel 'S' tubes (not in front like the directions) and I moved the front vertical supports out. This allowed the stand to accomidate the depth and to allow two components side by side. Unfortunately I had to stack the DVD carousal & the Reciever on the right side (looking at the front) in order to provide clear access to the wire jacks & reduce depth. The HDTV cable box fit fine next to the DVD player. Otherwise the stand works well once adjusted, but Samsung could have engineered a better solution.

My wife and I have put off getting a media stand for a while, because we're ready to start getting some nice furniture, and we needed time to save up. But I got tired of having the TV on a coffee table, so we gave this stand a shot.

The price can't be beat. It as cheap as Ikea furniture and looks a lot nicer. It matches the television perfectly; I don't think we could have found a stand better suited to the space even if we'd spent twice as much. It also seems to be very sturdy. Each piece feels very solid, not like the cheap stuff you get from some furniture stores. And, assembly was easy; I did it by myself in less than an hour.

Despite the great look and solid feel of the stand, I must agree with other reviewers that it's a bit shallow. I disregarded their warnings since we don't have a lot of meida equipment (just a single-disc DVD player, TiVo, and a cable box). My DVD player and TiVo hang off the front just a little; the glass is about as deep as the equipment, but the cords get in the way. There is, however, plenty of horizontal space. We could fit a little more equipment if we had it.

Unless the limited shelf depth is going to drive you crazy, I'd highly recommend this stand. It looks great, and the price can't be beat.

Stand is high quality, its a little small, depth and height wise, could use a little more room for my xbox, very tight fit, but I made it work. For the price you cant buy any better, especially if you have the TV it was made for, looks great!

The stand was simple enough to put together and it looks really nice. The best thing about this stand is that coupled with my Samsung HL-S4666W, it's difficult to determine where the stand and TV meet. The problem is that it is not deep enough to properly hold my stereo receiver or my 5-Disc DVD player. They both hang out way past the glass shelves and look ridiculous. I'd advise getting a deeper stand if you have deep equipment.

Bought this early last month on Amazon for $107 (now back up to $199 for some reason). Even for $199, I would recommmend this particular stand, as it makes the TV (in my case, the Samsung HL-S4666W) look good - hard to tell where the stand ends and the tv begins. Easy setup when FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS. As mentioned in earlier reviews, keep in mind this is only a stand, not an entertainment center. Dont expect it to accomodate all your accessory electronics and DVD library. In my case, it neatly holds my DVD Recorder, Xbox and Sat receiver

I don't understand how so many people bought this item without seeing a picture of it. If you just look for the model number on the Samsung website there is a picture of it that shows you what it looks like. Its pretty obvious that a stand designed specifically for a TV that is only 13" deep will not be that deep itself.

My only complaint of this product is that the instructions look like they were hacked together at the last minute, and don't explain the differences between the 42" and 46" setup very clearly. It wasn't hard to put together by any means, I could just see people not paying attention, and then having to take it apart and start over. Also, it looks nice dead-on from the front, but the sides look a bit chinsey at best.
