The BEST (and most current) GroupWise 5.5 book!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Administering Groupwise 5.5 (Paperback)
The authors are Novell tech support guys, and this book reads like an advanced technical training course. It has stuff for the beginning administrator, and it has GREAT tips for people doing advanced stuff like moving domains to new servers. The "Move User" chapter is FANTASTIC. I've never seen a better discussion on the break points of the process, and the authors have put together a procedure that looks like it guarantees safe user moves.

Administering Groupwise 5.5 by Howard Tayler,
By Ray Osburn (Provo, UT) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Administering Groupwise 5.5 (Paperback)
In reading and putting Howard Tayler?s book to use, I have found it to be one of the best computer books I have ever read. It covers concise information on how to administer GroupWise. Plus it covers the difficult issues and hard to solve problems. The chapter on delicate operations is a must for any GroupWise administrator. I have heard Howard Tayler speak several times. He has a way of taking any technical information and put it in a way that any audience can clearly understand it. His book is written with the same zest. His writing style is impeccably clear to understand. The solutions and answers are right on for troubleshooting. I know in his past he was apart of Novell's GroupWise Swat team. He has seen it all, and his book clearly put this into print.

The ULTIMATE GroupWise 5.5 Admin Reference,
By Jim Snow (Grand Ledge, MI) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Administering Groupwise 5.5 (Paperback)
I've worked with GroupWise 4 & 5 for roughly the past 8 years. This book is by far the best reference I've ever seen. It covers procedures in-depth, explains what each of the specific settings means (in NWAdmn32 and the Agent screens), but the most important things I love about the book are the Best Practices (at the end of most chapters) and the troubleshooting sections. BTW, I've got a Master CNE in Messaging from Novell and picked up quite a few things that I didn't know. Howard, Tay & Ross did the GroupWise community a HUGE favor by writing this book - a 'Must Have' for any GW Administrator!
