5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best admin law supplements around. By far one of the best E&E's
Not a huge fan of E&E's, but this one impresses. It breaks down the subject matter to the point of understanding without sacrificing content. Plenty of examples to go around. This got rave reviews from many in our law class who were forced to teach themselves the material.

Don't hestitate about buying this supplement, whether top of the class or the...

2.0 out of 5 stars Deceptive to call this an E&E
I concede that Administrative law may be difficult to organize, with so many court cases and doctrines to sift through. However, unless you take this course with one of the authors, you may have a hard time keeping up.

This book does not warrant inclusion in the E&E series. Traditionally, there are questions and answers at the end of each chapter in E&Es (the...

5.0 out of 5 stars First Rate, March 4, 2003
By A Customer
I had the pleasure of taking Professor Seamon's Administrative Law course at the University of South Carolina School of Law. He really knows the material in and out and this book reflects that.

Administrative law is probably one of the more complex areas of law, and this book provides a solid framework for understanding the material. I reviewed some commercial outlines, but this material is much better suited for the E&E format. I've used the E&E Series for all of the first year courses and found this to be one of the better books. I highly recomend getting this book and going through it both before and during class.

I teach Administrative Law. This study aid is clear and concise, with good examples. It is not a substitute for classroom training, but among the study aids, this is the best, in my opinion.

4.0 out of 5 stars Classic E&E, January 19, 2008
This review is from: Administrative Law: Examples and Explanations (Examples & Explanations) (Paperback)
Classic E&E - thorough but straightforward. A lot of the important cases are in the examples though, so don't plan on skipping over them. The hornbook doesn't cover the Federal Tort Claims Act or Section 1983.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fits Everything Together, December 8, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This book was extremely helpful in my administrative law class. It tied everything together for me. We'd go through cases and the casebook did a very poor job of showing how they were related and what was important. This book really helped with that. I would have liked it if the book taught you the law and then gave examples upon which to practice like some of the other EE books. In this one they tended to continue teaching in the examples so it's important to read them if you sometimes skip over them. On a different note, adm was a horrible class. The subject matter was extremely boring and I had to go over things over and over till they finally clicked. It was comparable to civil procedure for me. 3Ls told me it was horrible, I just didn't listen. But, this book helped me a lot.

I concede that Administrative law may be difficult to organize, with so many court cases and doctrines to sift through. However, unless you take this course with one of the authors, you may have a hard time keeping up.

This book does not warrant inclusion in the E&E series. Traditionally, there are questions and answers at the end of each chapter in E&Es (the "examples" and "explanations"). This book is different. There are seemingly random sections scattered throughout the book with the HEADINGS "examples" and "explanations." This is unacceptable marketing! If you want to learn admin, you'd best stick with the casebook.

3.0 out of 5 stars It is what it is., June 27, 2011

I got a B+ in the class without reading the textbook. It's just like every other E&E meaning that it gives you a really good analysis of the subject matter.

The main negative is that if you're buying this book you're in law school.

The item came quickly and in good condition. However, seller left their tabs in the book. It would have been nice if those had been removed, as I had to do it when the item arrived.
