More About the Author

Donald Yerxa was born in Portland, Maine in 1950. From 2001 until 2013, he was a senior editor of Historically Speaking, a journal of historical ideas published by The Johns Hopkins University Press, and from 2011 until 2014, he served as director of the Religion & Innovation in Human Affairs Grants Program of the Historical Society. Since 2011, he has been the editor of Fides et Historia, the peer-reviewed journal of the Conference on Faith and History. He is professor of history emeritus at Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA and now resides in Florida.
