2.0 out of 5 stars For VB Developers ONLY!, September 8, 2001
By
Jon Hall (Palm Harbor, Florida United States) - See all my reviews
Do not get this book if you program in anything other than VB (not even vbscript). The name of the book should have been ADO for Visual Basic...except that title was already taken. What really gets on my nerves is that the sample chapter released on O'Reilly's web site is the chapter where they give code examples for all of the different languages. The rest of the book is nothing like that chapter!
If you are a VB programmer though, I'm sure you will love this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT - Data Shaping Chapter, September 19, 2001
By
I bought this book for one chapter - data shaping, and it turned out to be the only place that I found that was able to explain it in a way that I could understand. The author has a knack for thoroughly explaining the material. I also found the appendix on SQL helpful.

You can't get a more complete ADO book.. ever gritty detail is in this book.. It's almost too much information. :- ) if you code ADO. This is a good book to have.

Cheers
