Problems when installed in WIN NT 4.0, May 4, 2001
This review is from: Adobe After Effects 5.0 Pro [Old Version] (CD-ROM)
After I received confirmation from Amazon that this program would run in an Windows NT 4.0 enviroment, I bought it.
It turns out that Adobe After Effects 5.0 was developed for and tested in WIN2000, WINME and WIN98. As a result, you can not obtain the full potential of After Effects if used on a WIN NT 4.0 base.
If you decide to use it on WIN NT 4.0, it is recommended to use the Service Pack 6.0 and Windows Media Player 6.4. You could encounter problems as: not being able to "render" files larger that 2.0 Gigas; After Effects will not be able to import compressed files in Type-1 DV Microsoft DV-NTSC format; The system would freeze or gives back an error message when you try to import or play Wave (*.wav) or MP· (*.mp3) files. These you would heve to import as "Quicktime" files.
