This program is way more powerful than what I use it for, but it is a great program nonetheless, this used to be cool edit. But then Adobe bought the company. The one thing to keep in mind with this program is that it is not ASIO compliant. At this time. It is a big complain a lot people are having with this program. I would imagine Adobe will do a rewrite of the code to bring that on as ASIO is something people want in an audio editing program.

I have used Sony's acid Pro (actually sonic foundry) for doing loop based music creation, and when I got Adobe audition. I was hoping it would replace acid professional, but it hasn't. I don't think it has quite as an intuitive user interface for loop based content creation that met solely my opinion but mine nonetheless.

I recommend downloading the demo from Adobe. It's a 30 day trial. You can see how to use it!

Adobe Audition is a must for quick audio processing and removing noise. This program's fortes include individual track editing and final mix cleanup.

I've been using it since its Cool Edit days and want to congratulate Adobe for actually making this software even better instead of overcomplicating it or otherwise changing the very nature of what made it great to begin with.

Audition's easy to use interface allows for time-saving and detailed editing of audio tracks and it is one of the few programs having the ability to remove background noise and bleed-through instruments from vocal tracks via its noise profile capture tool. This alone has saved me tons of time and aggravation.

It is also very easy to create high-quality .mp3 files of many different resolutions, which is another time saver. The only complaint I have is that its 'comments' field within the ID3 tag editor seems to have a bug in it where it doesn't record long text or character strings which may be necessary for encoding the .mp3 for online sales. If they can fix that, then Audition will be just about flawless.

Totally sweet program that is sweet to use.

There are many good recording programs out there but they are geared primararily to music. For specialties such as my Psycho-acoustic programs binaural, doppler and other effects only found here are essential. And for my leisure it also revives my "oldies" collection. Navigation could be a little easier and the HELP is almost pathetic, but overall this is the best out there
