Tired of non-compatibility,

Good product, but I'm getting tired of the incompatibility issues between versions. It is such a pain to hire a new employee, get them the latest copy of Adobe CS and then not be able to have other employees open their files with a version from a few months previous. It's getting ridiculous. Also, Adobe has the worst follow-through on customer service of any company I have dealt with. I spent 6 months trying to get my money back for a license they had previously deactivated. I called each month religiously and spent 45-90 minutes trying to bring the agents up to speed with the conversations that should have been in their computer. Nightmare.

Rebuttal to the ignorant 1 star review,

I have to put a 5 star review on this bundle to offset the only other review for the CS5 suite. To answer that person's question - the student package is for educational purposes, so students on a limited budget and schools purchasing multiple copies for machines can afford the bundle. IF you are a professional designer (I'm assuming you are not) it is the industry standard, and the advancements in this edition make it a worthwhile investment if you are doing professional design/motion graphics work. It is expensive, but the roto brush, improved 3d model import features and expanding retouching abilities make it worth the investment for a prosumer-professional level designer. Compare the cost to Flame or Nuke as a compositor and then complain about the value for the money relative. I actually found AfterEffects CS5 so far to behave more stable than CS3 (last version I've worked in) and am extremely excited to keep digging into it (little shortcuts in the interface took a bit to get use to but now feel second nature). Photoshop however, is fantastic and the real time brush angling is amazing. I haven't gotten far enough into Illustrator to comment yet. Regardless, ignore the 1 star non-review.

While working with Aperture on my photos I was still missing something I could use from time to time when doing more work with images taken. Also being able to set up a layout for a catalogue thanks to InDesign is my fulfilled wish. Now with CS5 I am happy and I believe, it will suit my needs for more than just few years. There is so much functionality in this package that I can not imagine to be able to use more from next versions.
