Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium Upgrade from CS4[OLD VERSION]

This review is about why you should purchase your CS5 upgrade from Amazon rather than from Adobe. (I do not work for either company.)

With Amazon you get the physical product. With Adobe you receive only a download code, and this is not made clear until after your payment has been processed. Because Adobe does not offer 24/7 support, and because of the CS5 price, physical back-up of the software might be an important consideration for you.

In fairness, Adobe will provide the disks later if you request them -- but at an additional cost, plus 7-10 days for delivery. This makes the Amazon price and service even better than it might first appear.

As compared with the offerings for CS4, this new suite structure is far more easily understood and doesn't require the purchase of two suites in order to get the Dreamweaver/InDesign combination that many folks need. If you stayed at CS3 or below because of the expense, this might well be the time to move forward. Kudos to Adobe for making the selection process more valuable to the customer! And Adobe also now has a free downloadable for HTML5 so this is suite is the one to beat!
