Adobe Creative Suite 4 Production Premium Upgrade [OLD VERSION]

According to Adobe, owners of Production Premium (CS2) qualify for the upgrade. However, this upgrade only works with the CS3 version. Adobe will tell you to install it as a trial version and then describe how to activate it. This method is NOT reliable. Many of the programs will not work. Deleting this version and installing an academic version of the program (yes, I qualified) resolved ALL of the program issues. Note: run the "Adobe CS3 Clean Script" prior to installing the new version. Do NOT try to install this "upgrade" verion unless you have a CS3 serial number.

Beware, this upgrade is not properly listed! Adobe has special conditions that apply to upgrades that can be a little confusing. Hence to Adobe, an upgrade is an upgrade is an upgrade, they don't differentiate between what retailers call Upsells and Upgrades. The 'Upgrade' is only good for the previous version of the software. An Upsell, according to retailers, is an upgrade from a version that precedes the previous version (EX. Upgrade means upgrading from v3(previous) --> v4(current), and Upsell is and upgrade from v1 or v2(preceding previous) --> v4(current)). Confusing I know. It is hard to get this information from Adobe themselves, I can see how retails listings are hindered from it.

As with anything you buy, it is good to know every detail one can about a product. This seller realized the mistake in the listing and did a complete refund in my case. I just hope they fix their listings to help avoid this kind of scenario again.
