5.0 out of 5 stars Finally fixed a lot of niggling problems
Adobe finally updated all of their application interfaces to have more of a consistent look and feel. Also, since I use these applications on a laptop hooked up to different monitor (laptop only, work, and home), my biggest complaint, the fact that Photoshop tool docks would reset themselves if the monitor resolution changed, is now fixed.

As far as the rest...

1.0 out of 5 stars Wait for Adobe Support to Get Better
I've been a computer user since 1986 and an Adobe user since 1995 or there about. I've used Photoshop and the Creative Suite series as a novice/intermediate user and was completely satisfied until I upgraded to CS4. This review is not about the functionality of the individual CS4 programs, but about the inability to install the CS4 suite.

To make a long story short, the problem appears to be missing installation files or that the first update deletes files and then fails. The result is none of the CS4 programs run (except Acrobat 9) and Windows Explorer's "right click" is disabled. After 15 hours of following lengthy troubleshooting instructions of "do this, if it doesn't work do this, etc, etc" I've gotten the programs to run and Acrobat & Photoshop updates installed. I still have 6 CS4 software updates that will not install and for the last 7 days Adobe support has not responded to the support case question: How do I install CS4 software updates? The Adobe Support site was off line when I tried an hour ago.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro is great, has updated and is operating fine. If I had to do this over again, I would buy Acrobat 9 and stay with CS3. Regardless how great the CS4 programs might be no one needs 3 weeks of frustration and extra work with no end in sight. I'll give Adobe a few more days to fix the update problem or I'll return CS4 - It's that bad!

As far as the rest of the apps in the suite, their quality is really unchallenged overall.
